It is recommended that you have your family participate in the class or make arrangements for them during your time on the water.

What happens if it rains?

On days with inclement weather all rentals, classes & events will be rescheduled. Some classes & leagues will take place in light rain. What should I wear?

You will be in the water. What you deem to be comfortable & appropriate water wear is up to you. Stay away from cotton and other fabrics that will hinder you when wet. If you are looking for more coverage than a swimsuit offers we’d recommend investing in a good pair of board shorts to wear over your swimsuit. Rashguards are a great option when looking to avoid uncomfortable situations while maneuvering in a bikini.

What is your inclement weather policy?

Light rain is ok. Should we have high winds, lightening & other hazardous weather we cannot allow paddlers on the water. Should we incur lightning on the water all paddlers will be brought to shore. Lightning must be outside of ten miles. Winds must not exceed 10mph. We constantly monitor weather patterns and are prepared to make weather related calls at all times. Paddlers will be notified in the event of inclement weather.

What do I need to bring?

Due to the nature of paddleboarding, the amount of items you can bring on a board is limited. It is recommended that you bring a towel and water bottle to leave on shore for after your event. If you wish to carry a phone, keys & other items, on the board, you’ll want a dry bag that you can strap to yourself or your board. Not all boards have deck strapping. Dry bags can also be rented from The Goat Boater. Please secure your dry bag rental, in advance, when booking. If you wear sunglasses make sure you have a strap to keep them in place. Many sunglasses & hats have become property of the Wylie Gods.

We follow all state & local CDC guidelines. Please keep in mind that if you are coming from a different state SC does not require masks.
